Sundar Pichai, CEO, Google and Alphabet
Sundar is the CEO of Google and Alphabet and serves on Alphabet’s Board of Directors.
He joined Google in 2004 and helped lead the development of Google Toolbar and then Google Chrome, which grew to become the world’s most popular internet browser. In 2014 he was appointed to lead product and engineering for all of Google’s products and platforms - including popular products such as Search, Maps, Play, Android, Chrome, Gmail and Google Apps (now Google Workspace). Sundar became Google’s CEO in August 2015. He joined the Board of Directors of Alphabet, Google's parent company, in July 2017.
Under his leadership as CEO, Google has been focused on developing products and services, powered by the latest advances in AI, that offer help in moments big and small. It has invested in new opportunities such as Google Cloud and YouTube and has continued to be a leader in advanced technologies, including machine learning and quantum computing.
In December 2019, in addition to his role as CEO of Google, Sundar became the CEO of Google’s parent company, Alphabet.
Sundar grew up in Chennai, India and studied engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology where he was awarded an Institute Silver Medal. He holds a master's degree from Stanford University and an MBA from the Wharton School, where he was named a Siebel Scholar and a Palmer Scholar.
Demis Hassabis, CEO, Google DeepMind
Sir Demis Hassabis is a British computer scientist, artificial intelligence researcher, and entrepreneur.
Demis is the co-founder and CEO of Google DeepMind, a pioneering AI company acquired by Google in 2014. Founded in 2010, DeepMind has achieved numerous landmark AI breakthroughs such as AlphaGo, the first program to beat the world champion at the game of Go, and AlphaFold, which solved the 50-year grand challenge of protein structure prediction by accurately predicting the 3D shape of proteins, critical for disease understanding and drug discovery.
Demis has won many prestigious international awards for his research work including the Breakthrough Prize in Life Sciences, the Canada Gairdner Award, and the Lasker Award. His work has been cited over 100,000 times, and he is a Fellow of the Royal Society and the Royal Academy of Engineering. In 2017 Demis featured in the Time 100 list of most influential people, and in 2024 he was awarded a knighthood for services to Artificial Intelligence.
Liz Reid, VP, Head of Search, Google
Elizabeth (Liz) Reid, VP, Head of Search leads the Search organization at Google. Liz joined Google in 2003 as the company’s first female engineer in its New York office and was part of the team that built Google Local, the foundation for much of the local information within Google Maps today.
Since 2021, Liz has led teams reimagining the Search experience by helping people ask questions in entirely new ways, like with Lens and multisearch; making authentic, human voices more accessible; and transforming how people navigate and understand information with generative AI.
Throughout her 20+ years helping to map the world and surface information on Google, Liz has led engineering across various Google Maps and Search products. Liz is also a passionate advocate of Google's diversity efforts, currently serving as the executive sponsor of the Google Disability Alliance and previously serving as co-chair of Women@Google, an internal Google organization committed to empowering women in the company.
Aparna Pappu, VP & GM, Google Workspace
Aparna Pappu is Vice President and General Manager of Google Workspace, home to the AI-powered apps more than 3 billion people know and love—Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Meet, and more. Google Workspace brings together the tools that help teams connect and create to do their best work. Aparna leads the fast-growing global business across strategy, product development, and engineering to deliver helpful communication and collaboration solutions to millions of customers across businesses, schools, and industries of all sizes.
Aparna has deep roots at Google and in technology and building products. Before joining Google Workspace as VP of Engineering in 2018, she spent a decade leading the development and growth of Google’s state-of-the-art ads publisher platform. Aparna is recognized as a leader who consistently elevates the technical excellence of the products she oversees while always putting the user first. Prior to Google, she led innovative work in video distribution systems, receiving five patents in the field.
Aparna grew up in Pune, India and received a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at Pune Institute of Computer Technology and a Master’s degree in Computer Science at Georgia Tech. Aparna lives with her family in New York City.
Sissie Hsiao, VP/GM, Gemini Experiences and Google Assistant
Sissie Hsiao is the Vice President and General Manager of Gemini experiences and Google Assistant, leading many of Google’s advancements in applying generative AI and other natural language and speech technologies to products. A passionate computer scientist and lifelong learner, she inspires her team to explore the limits of what’s possible when we apply cutting-edge advancements in AI to everyday, real-world problems for people around the world.
Prior to serving in her current role, Sissie led Google’s global display, video and app advertising businesses, where her primary responsibilities included advertiser and publisher facing products (including Google Universal App Campaigns, Google Display Campaigns, Google Ad Manager, AdMob, and AdSense), R&D of new ads products, and managing go-to-market strategies cross functionally with sales, marketing, business development, policy, privacy, and communications. Sissie has also led product development of Google Analytics and Google Slides.
Sissie’s career started at Microsoft, where she was responsible for graphics technologies within the Microsoft Office suite from 2000 to 2006. She has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UC Berkeley.
Dave Burke, VP of Engineering, Android Platform, Google
Dave Burke is Vice President of Engineering at Google where he leads engineering for the Android Platform. Android is the largest mobile platform and ecosystem in the world, with over 3 billion active devices spanning smartphones, tablets, wearables, auto, TV, and XR. Dave joined Google UK in 2007, becoming an engineering site lead and later moving to California in 2011. Prior to Google, Dave co-founded and was CTO of an internet/telecoms voice startup and helped define related Web and Internet standards. Dave holds a BE, MEngSc, and PhD in Electronic Engineering from University College Dublin, Ireland.
Sameer Samat, President of Android Ecosystem, Google
Sameer Samat is President of the Android Ecosystem at Google. He is responsible for Android's user and developer experience globally, across all form factors including Mobile, Auto, Wearables, TV, and AR/XR as well as Android's developer framework and tools (Android Studio) along with the Google Play store.
Previously, Sameer was Vice President of Google's Shopping and Travel search products. As a founding member of Google's Commerce team, he started Google Shopping and led both Shopping and Travel search, building both into large scale businesses for Google. In these roles, he was responsible for the Shopping, Hotel and Flight search experiences on Google.com including for merchant and travel partners.
Prior to his time at Google, Sameer focused on applying AI to process automation in the enterprise space. He founded Mohomine, a provider of cloud based AI automation technology to business and government customers and later served as EVP of Products at Tungsten Automation (formerly Kofax) after they acquired Mohomine. At Tungsten Automation he led efforts to integrate AI technologies with business process automation software leading to significant growth and savings for customers.
Sameer serves on the Board of Open English, the largest online platform for English language learning. He has been recognized in the industry for technology leadership by Forbes and other organizations.
Sameer holds a BS in Computer Science from the University of California, San Diego and is a graduate of Harvard Business School's PMD program.
Jeanine Banks, VP/GM, Developer X & Developer Relations, Google
Jeanine Banks is the VP & General Manager, Developer X & Head of Developer Relations, responsible for the strategy, product portfolio, and ecosystem engagement for third party (3P) developer experiences, including tools like Angular, Dart, Firebase, Flutter, TensorFlow, Kaggle, and others. Jeanine and her team collaborate across Google to empower millions of 3P developers to build AI-enabled, digital experiences for billions of users worldwide.
Before Google, Jeanine was the GM of AWS Insights & Enterprise Tools at Amazon, where she led teams serving all millions of AWS customers in managing billions in cloud spend. Previously, she also led development for Amazon EC2 Spot, fleet management and auto scaling services. Jeanine launched dozens of new products such as the Amazon AppFlow integration platform, AWS Audit Manager risk management service, GE Centricity 360 health cloud, and Axway AMPLIFY digital experience platform. She also founded two digital health startups that enabled consumers to better manage their health.
Jeanine is a developer and she started coding as a 9th grade intern at the Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) where she used the early draft of the HTML specification to build one of BNL’s first websites. Today, she mentors and coaches underrepresented founders, and is an advocate for increasing diversity and inclusion in startup investments.
Jeanine graduated from Dowling College with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science and an MBA in General Management from Adelphi University.
Josh Woodward, VP, Google Labs
Josh currently leads Google Labs. He's an early stage leader who co-founded Google's Next Billion Users effort and helped create Chromebooks. His work has focused on making technology more accessible to everyone. He holds degrees from the University of Oklahoma and Oxford University. He and his wife make a mean batch of jambalaya and have four kids.
James Manyika, Sr. VP, Research, Technology & Society, Google
As Senior Vice President for Research, Technology & Society, James Manyika focuses on advancing Google’s most ambitious innovations in AI, computing and science, and on areas with potential for beneficial impact on society. He is also responsible for leading and overseeing Google Research and Google Labs. Appointed by President Obama, James served as Vice Chair of the Global Development Council at the White House, serves as Vice Chair of the US National AI Advisory Committee (established by Congress to advise the President), and is Co-Chair of the UN Secretary-General’s AI Advisory Body. James is Chair and Director, Emeritus of McKinsey Global Institute, a Visiting Professor at Oxford, and has been a member of the National Academies of Science, Engineering and Medicine’s Committee on Responsible Computing. He is a Distinguished Fellow of Stanford’s Human-Centered AI Institute, a Distinguished Fellow in Ethics in AI at Oxford, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. A Rhodes Scholar, James has DPhil, MSc, MA from Oxford in AI and robotics, mathematics and computer science, and a BSc from the University of Zimbabwe.
Jon Dahlke, Director of Product Management, Chrome, Google
As Director of Product Management for Chrome’s Developer team, Jon leads Google’s efforts to improve web experiences everywhere through new APIs, developer tools, ecosystem programs, and partnerships. Jon joined Google in 2015, where he has led Chrome’s app and desktop virtualization efforts, media teams, and Widevine content protection service. Prior to joining Google, Jon was a Product Manager at Facebook and Microsoft and has been a web designer and developer for 25 years.
Matthew Mccullough, VP of Product Management, Android Developer, Google
Matthew J. McCullough is VP of Product Management, Android Developer for Google, and leads Product Management, Research, UX Design, Community, and Developer Relations teams. He held the role of SVP of Product at GitHub, is an energetic 20 year veteran of enterprise software development, world-traveling open source educator, and co-founder of a software consultancy. All of these activities provide avenues to share success stories of improving developer experiences for greater collaboration amongst software teams.
Matthew is a co-author to the Version Control with Git, Building and Testing with Gradle and Jenkins: The Definitive Guide O’Reilly books and creator of the Git Master Class series for O’Reilly. Matthew regularly spoke on the No Fluff Just Stuff conference tour, is the author of the DZone Git RefCard, and was founder and a past President of the Denver Open Source Users Group.
Jaclyn Konzelmann, Director of Product Management, Google Labs
Jaclyn leads product management for the Gemini API and Google AI Studio for Developers, incubated out of Google Labs. Previously, Jaclyn led product development and launched AI features focused on speech and vision for Google Assistant. Jaclyn has almost 15 years experience building products across multiple industries with exits from a successful startup as a founding product manager and starting her own YC-backed company.
Erin Kidwell, GM & Engineering Director, Project IDX
Erin M. Kidwell is a General Manager and Engineering Director of Google Developer X - Project IDX. Her team is responsible for developing AI-first, developer tooling that will help developers successfully build applications with speed, ease and quality. Before joining Google, Erin held Director of Engineering and Technical Leadership roles at Apple, Netflix, ThoughtWorks and Kaplan.
Sharbani Roy, Sr. Director, Core ML, Google
Sharbani is Sr. Director in Google’s Core Machine Learning group where she leads product portfolios across internal and OSS AI/ML software infrastructure. This includes ML Ops (training & inference); ML frameworks like TensorFlow, Jax, and Keras; and On-device ML–all powering AI/ML in products across Google, including Gemini, Search, Ads, and more. Before joining Google, Sharbani led engineering and product teams in Amazon Alexa, focused on applied ML (e.g., NLU, CV, and AR) embedded into media streaming and real-time communication products, for 1P/3P developers and end consumers. She holds degrees in physics and mathematics from the University of Chicago and an MBA from Stanford University. She lives in Seattle with her husband and three children.
Laurence Moroney, Developer Advocate, Google
Laurence Moroney is an award-winning AI researcher, best-selling author of over 30 books, globally recognized expert, and keynote speaker on Artificial Intelligence. At Google, he leads global AI Advocacy, where he launched and open-sourced TensorFlow, which has introduced AI to millions of developers, and massively impacted businesses. He also spearheaded research in many areas of AI—pioneering Computer Vision through synthetic datasets, driving scenarios where AI could be used as an assistive technology for the physically impaired, widening access to AI by making it smaller and cheaper, and creating the initial generative AI scenarios before it became well-known (including one that was honored at the webby awards). Before Google, he was a long-term veteran of big technology with Microsoft, IBM, and Reuters. His thirty-plus year journey into Artificial Intelligence was covered as part of the Irish diaspora in the Irish Times, and his work on widening access to Artificial Intelligence featured in Google's Investor Report.
